I submit this article not for its merits (its pathetic, for a 'serious analyst'), but as an example of the COMPLETE confusion into which China, especially since Xi Jinping's rose to power, has thrown western "analysts".
It's simple, I think ( :) ) -- The Chinese CP never abandoned the communist ideal, even though they found they could not "skip" capitalism. They decided to hold onto the Wheel and see if they can drive all the way through commodity production to the other side!
