Hi guys, I am forwarding this story from yesterday's Detroit Free Press. I saw Geoff's comments on FB about opposition to trade pacts as a rightwing issue. I agree. The last thing we need is for U.S. and Mexican autoworkers led by their unions to fight over jobs. Just wanted to flag this. Pat

Here is the deal Trump will offer the UAW: "I will cancel NAFTA if you go out of existence"
A perfect example of the political stupidity, no -- at this point -- criminal, suicidal stupidity of certain unions hanging their hat on fighting trade agreements. Plus, if Trump ACTUALLY, instead of just red meat bullshit, cancels agreements, and raises up protectionist borders, two things will happen. 1) Companies will still globalize without the "agreements" -- not a single dime will ever come into workers pockets from their "defeat".2) War will result.
